CLASSICAL ACUPUNCTURE AND LASER ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is an ancient healing method that dates back more than 2,000 years. It is part of the philosophy of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Fine needles are put at exactly defined points on the body to harmonise our life energy “Qi”. The objective of acupuncture is to restore the balance between ying and yang, the two major energetic counter-poles according to Far Eastern medicine. To achieve this, the life energy “Qi” needs to be able to flow freely. According to TCM, any disturbance of the “Qi” has a negative impact on well-being or can lead to disease.
Meridians
Based on historic traditions specific lines, the so-called meridians can be found on the body surface. Meridians are energy channels which are correlated to the organs, which are also subject to the ying and yang principle. There is a variety of acupuncture points on these energy channels of the body, which can be used for individual treatment. Each acupuncture point is correlated with one organ system. Also at the front and back-side of the ear the respective organ correlation points can be found and can be used in ear acupuncture therapy.
By stimulating such points with a needle or a gentle acupuncture laser, energy is either added or distracted to release blockades and help the Qi energy to flow again. New well-being and recovery are the positive effects.

Based on profound acupuncture training where he earned two diplomas, and which are recognised by the Bavarian State Medical Association, Dirk Henrik Tschauder (MD) continued his training as student of Radha Thambirajah (MD), a renowned master of acupuncture, in the fields of cosmetic acupuncture and acupuncture in dermatology. Radha Thambirajah is head of the clinic for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Birmingham, UK and has been well-known for over 30 years. She has developed special, highly-efficient acupuncture methods, e.g. in the field of face-lifting. Dirk Henrik Tschauder (MD) also offers these special methods in his private practice.
